More On Our Services
The start of any project involves ideas. Our initial meeting is free, and a simple way to "meet and greet", giving us the opportunity to help understand what you want, and for you, to get to know our services. We will carefully listen and ask questions that can clarify and bring to the surface the essence of your project goals. With these ideas, we can help you to decide what direction best realizes your dreams.
With most of our renovation projects such as kitchens, baths, finished basements or additions, we feel it is important for you to have the highest quality design and function for your new space. As a true design/ build company we separate the design aspect of the project from the building end. In doing this, we do charge a design retainer. We will give this cost upfront, and is typically paid for up front before any work commences on your home, allowing us to give you a quote for your renovation that is not only accurate, but fair, with no hidden surprises.
Our Designer has over 30 years of experience working on kitchens, baths, additions and new homes. The design consultation stage is one of the most important steps in any well planned renovation and will define the space before the first workman ever enters your home. Once the design phase is completed, you will be able to clearly see how it will fit into your day to day lives.
Now it's time to roll up our sleeves while you go about your regular day. Construction can be hectic, but can be tamed by strong project management with a tight adherence to a schedule. I believe in a schedule. No hidden time, no surprises and a complete, transparent scheduling that involves you. After all, this is your home.
Many years of project management in homebuilding has taught us to run our jobs or our jobs will run us. Small service work to building 6400 sq.ft. homes from the ground up require the same attention to detailed scheduling and oversight. Our commitment is to always keep you in the loop. From scheduling changes to back-ordered material, you'll always know where your project is on the schedule.
Most people like a clean house. We do too. Safe, clean and organized environments are not only good for you, they help our work flow too. All of our employees coming into your home follow a strict Non-Smoking policy. Other workers coming into your home to complete a project are required to adhere to our strict no smoking standards within or around your home.
Following up to finish the small stuff. In the business we like to refer to this stage as the punch-out phase. Taken from the idea of a punch list of items still needing to be finished. A good deal of this work is completed by highly skilled people who have an attention to detail and a charming personality. They have these skills because they will continue to finish all the little items that still need done while being in your home each day. After the Punch-out phase is completed, you will do a final walk-thru with me to ensure completion of our contract.
